The Liturgy--How Catholics Pray and Why

The Liturgy, consisting of Formal Public Prayer, The Mass, and Sacraments is the life line of the Church. Through these prayers we are in the presence of Jesus “For where two or three are gathered in my name, I am there among them” (Matt. 18:20). As with all other aspects of our faith, the worship of the Church continues to evolve and grow. We always look for ways to make our Liturgical life relevant to the experiences of each generation, while seeking to maintain the best of our tradition of prayer. Indeed, our prayers are not stagnant.

This page contains reflections about various elements of the Liturgical Life of the Church.
